David Bang
David Bang is originally from Alexandria, VA, where he spent most of his childhood. He has been playing the violin since 1980 starting with the Mueller Rusch method and later Suzuki. His musical journey with the violin ranges from early childhood recitals, high school symphony concerts and Virginia state competitions, college level duet gigs, a few weddings, and prior experience giving lessons to school age children in South Carolina where he lived previously.
During the early years as a violin player, David took private lessons from various teachers including a violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC; but his favorite teacher was Mr. Peter Soho who played regularly with the U.S. Marine Band. Mr. Soho inspired David to love music for music's sake and to put one's soul into the melodies without being so mechanical. Even to this day, Mr. Soho's passion and love for music and teaching carry across into David's long-term passion to teach violin to those who appreciate the art at any age.

Alex Rodiek
Alex Rodiek graduated Cum Laude and holds a Bachelor of Music performance from Vanderbilt University where he studied with Alan Cox. He also holds a Master of Music performance and studied with
Judith Saxton at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Alex believes that his students should practice the "sing, buzz and play" approach to playing the trumpet. If a student can vocally sing the rhythms and style of the piece with confidence, they can then
begin buzzing the pitches on the mouthpiece. After that, they can apply these elements to the trumpet. He
encourages his students to continue singing through their instrument!
Alex has been an active freelancer since 2004 and has done clinics with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony
Orchestra, Cherokee County middle schools and high schools in the Metro–Atlanta area. Alex is currently
a solo cornet member of the Georgia Brass Band, and in 2011, he became a member of the Delta Brass
Quintet.
When he isn’t playing his horn, he can usually be heard singing songs with a guitar or enjoying the great
outdoors. He is also a huge movie buff.

Her skills include teaching a varied selection of classical and popular repertoire on piano, theory classes, and chorus ensembles to young children and young adults.
Shari's entire family has been her inspiration and support behind her passion for teaching piano lessons.
